Humanist Ceremonies
Yurts have for countless years provided wonderful, powerful structures that seem to communicate with our very soul. They have also provided shelter for all forms of extended family life. As in any family, there are times of great joy, and those of sadness. It is natural, and right, that we mark these important events in an appropriate mannner and yurts provide a truly appropriate space for such events to take place. The circular shape is all inclusive, and the open central wheel seems to connect all within directly with the universe. It is usual for all who enter a yurt to naturally look up. The potentiial of a yurt as a sacred space was recently highlighted for us when we installed a very specially designed yurt in Canterbury for use as a meditation centre and indoor labyrinth (see News item on "Lizzie's yurt").
If you are organising any humanist event, we will help in all aspects of the planning to ensure that the event is as unique and special as you wish. Our aim is to make the whole occasion one which values those involved and provides a truly special celebration, or commemoration, of life. We are happy to work directly with yourself, or through a registered celebrant, working on your behalf.
We can provide a range of structures that can be joined together, or seperate - as you prefer. We can also provide a full range of services to help you prepare for such an important event. We will be pleased to respond to any particular requests and seek to ensure that our services are at reasonable cost. Costs of multiple yurt hire is always cheaper than the sum of the individual yurt hire charges.
